And we can pull up most anywhere to cater your event or backyard party. And
not just in the summertime!
Winning over hearts and stomachs
Over the years, we've won the hearts and taste buds of many who
appreciate "real" Italian artisan traditional pizza baked in an earthen, wood-fired oven.
Our thin tasty crusts are topped with a combination of ingredients making the slices
delicious and desirable any time of day or night.
Most requested is the Pear, Gorgonzola cheese and Caramelized Onion combination.
A little sweet. A lot scrumptious.
Our vegetarian Frescoe Giardinia loaded with seasonal market veggies topping a pesto
sauce is also popular.
We also make the classics: Basil and tomatoes on the Margarita Pizza, and of course
Pepperoni Pizza.
Where we go, how we got here
From May to October, La Strada Dolce Pizza pulls up to local farmers' markets,
festivals and events to serve metropolitan Seattle and beyond with the best in wood-
fired pizza, by the slice or the whole pie.
Founder Jim Sundin experimented with dough, spices and combinations of cheeses,
veggies and fruit before launching his rig and gig in 2010 at weekly markets in
Edmonds, Snohomish and Mukilteo.
He built the earthen oven and the bright red trailer after studying many designs.
Fruit wood from the apple and pear orchards of the Wenatchee Valley heat up the
oven, which can also be used to bake and heat many types of food.
Building your own pizza oven
Jim Sundin plans to offer how-to classes on building earthen ovens. More details on
the cost, dates and locations will be posted soon.
Also, we’re often asked to set-up at
holiday fairs in the fall and winter. Keep checking here for upcoming events.
